Are you familiar with the Grande Traversée du Jura long-distance trails?
These long-distance trails or "GTJs," to insiders, which traverse the Jura mountains, (spanning the departments of Doubs, Ain and Jura), leading to Villers-le-Lac in Giron, are much loved and well frequented by hiking and mountain bike enthusiasts in summer and cross-country skiers or snow-shoers in winter. The GTJ cross-country skiing route extends over some 180 km and is one of the longest cross-country ski trails in Europe. If you stay in the accommodation located along the route you'll be able to enjoy a comfortable rest between legs. Treat yourself to several days of skiing in the middle of snowy landscapes!
