Advice

Care instructions
To optimise the performance and durability of your trousers, we recommend the following: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out manually. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the waterproofing the outer fabric using a waterproof spray for fabrics. Read the care label.
Storage instructions
Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Make sure that the garment is completely dry before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Features of the product

How can I be sure my jacket will give me proper protection in bad weather?
The Slide 900 trousers were developed with a rigorous arrangement and assembly to prevent water from entering and to limit the feeling of the wind, to help you cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To check that they are waterproof, these trousers were placed in a special shower reproducing the conditions a skier has to cope with. We approved this product's waterproofing by skiing in different conditions for several days.
What's the point of having water-repellent trousers?
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The Slide 900 trousers are made from water-repellent materials to prolong their resistance to bad weather. This high-tech solution will keep you dry for longer on the ski slopes. For it to remain effective, you must repeat this treatment regularly using the products sold in our stores.
"Coated" trousers: what are the advantages of this coating?
The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by an active body to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport.
What is a membrane and what's it for?
The trouser membrane consists of a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. It is hydrophilic and blocks the water arriving from the exterior while wicking away the perspiration produced by the body inside. A membrane is essential for keeping warm and dry.
Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have taped seams?
As well as the waterproof material, we use sealed seams to make the Free 900 jacket more waterproof. These are waterproof adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. These taped seams are present on the areas most exposed to snow, i.e. the bottom in general.
How do my ski trousers keep me warm?
We use wadding for insulation to help keep you warm. This polyester-based synthetic material traps air, the quantity of which will depend on the size of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, high-tech or siliconised, each with different properties: warmth, lightness, flexibility, etc.
What are "breathable" trousers?
It is a product that lets the water vapour produced by the body during exercise escape, keeping you dry. To measure the breathability of a fabric, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat, called RET, with a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wed'ze uses high-tech materials and solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh) that help prevent condensation inside the garment. Slide 900 trousers RET < 12
How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?
To keep your legs warm and dry: wear 2 breathable layers, e.g. 1 base layer or a pair of ski tights to retain the warmth and a pair of ski trousers to protect you from bad weather.
How can I prevent snow from getting into my trousers?
Our trousers have elasticated gaiters at the bottom that cover the shoes. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.
