Features of the product

A word from the product manager
We wanted to create a versatile board for people not interested in parks. This board is suitable for easy use both only on-piste and off-piste. Enjoyed everywhere! The prototype was developed 100% at our Mountain Store design centre in Passy, Haute-Savoie, and tested at the ski stations near our offices throughout the development process.
The All Road is the all-mountain board par excellence: 50% piste, 50% off-piste. You can go anywhere, on all types of snow, on-piste, off-piste and on powder, as well as on crusted snow thanks to its elongated front tip, made thinner to catch less. This is why the nose has this particular shape. Do not use in parks: this board is not intended for use on modules or for riding backwards.".
Directional snowboard
The shape of the board is directional, i.e. the board has a nose to tail. It is not symmetric ; the tail of the board is slightly narrower than the nose, and the bindings as well as the board's contact points on the snow are slightly set back. A directional shape offers better grip when cornering, better trajectory management and better recovery when exiting a turn.
Standard camber + rocker
All the advantages of both the standard camber (thanks to the board's elasticity, a standard camber serves as a spring to provide grip on all types of snow, edge-to-edge dynamism and recoil when coming out of turns) and the rocker (under constraint, the board's points of contact with the snow come closer together, making the board more manageable). The rocker elongates and raises the nose so that it can glide better over powder.
Medium, versatile flex
The flex is the stiffness of the board between the front and rear. The flex of the Bullwhip 500 All Road is about 3/5, which is average and versatile. It offers predictable handling when cutting corners and is forgiving of edge mistakes.
Versatile and medium torsion
The torsion, i.e. the torsional stiffness of the board between the feet, is about 3/5 on the Bullwhip 500 All Road, which is fairly stiff for good hold in the curves, recovery coming out of a turn and responsive edge transition. This makes the board suitable for advanced to expert levels, while remaining very accessible physically.
25 mm setback
The setback is when the board's compression points with the snow are not symmetrical in relation to the centre of the board, but set back towards the rear. The bindings are also set back towards the rear by the same distance. 25 mm setback = significant setback for a directional board. It provides better grip in turns and flexibility in powder snow because the weight is on the tail of the board which naturally raises the nose.

When should I wax my snowboard?
Wed'ze boards leave the factory waxed. They then require regular maintenance, like all snowboards and skis: ideally, wax after every 5 outings and at least once a year: - either at the beginning of the season to start with a very good glide - or at the end of the season, leaving the wax on to protect the base throughout the summer
What's the right size Bullwhip 500 All Road for me?
With All Mountain, choose -15 or -20 cm (e.g., someone measuring 1m74, use a board between 1m59 and 1m54). Because the All Road has a rocker, you can choose one a little larger. If you choose a shorter board, it will be easier to control. A shorter board is also recommended for people who are light for their height. A longer board offers greater stability at high speeds. 158 cm (60-80 kg) => from 1 m 70 to 1 m 75 163 cm (75-90 kg) => from 1 m 75 to 1 m 82 168 cm (85-+110 kg) => 1 m 80 and more
What is the snowboard width?
A "Wide" board is a board that is wider than normal, to prevent "large" feet from touching the snow when turning a little too sharply and making you fall. From size 10 upwards, it is best to choose a "Wide" board. The width of the board is measured at its centre. At Decathlon, we have defined them as follows: - up to 250 mm: normal board - 251 to 259 mm: medium wide - above 260 mm: wide

    Capable, big, wide all-mountain board

I'm 1.88 tall, weigh just under 100KG and have size 47 feet. A board that works on both a groomed piste and on powder that can keep my feet out of the snow was what I wanted -- the Bullwhip 500 168W works for me. It kept me afloat in some pretty deep snow, but handled a hard piste well without the flapping of a true rocker such as a K2 Gyrator in the same size. I personally didn't find the bindings suited me -- I swapped them for an old Union set that gave me more lift and edge control. This board seems a good all-rounder that doesn't require any major compromise for a free-rider. The design is low-key and looks good to my eyes. Decathlon should consider selling the board on its own -- the large footed will likely want a little more lift in deep snow than the supplied bindings provide. After six-days in a range of conditions in the Italian Alps I am pleased with the board -- great value and an intelligent piece of design.

Pri vyssi rychlosti take pekne drzelo.
