Features of the product

A word from the product manager
"We designed this boot to offer you a good compromise between comfort and easy tightening. Improvements for 2017-2018 include: - quick tightening focused on the instep for better support and a riptab added at the shins to eliminate the gap between the shins and the tongue; - wider fit to ensure good support and comfort for all; - very lightweight, shock absorbent and insulating EVA sole (80% air) that protects from cold ground."
Why the name
"The Maoke mountain peaks reach 4,884 m in Indonesia. When it was opened in 1979, this resort was the second highest in the world before the glacier melt. Our women's boots are named after them. The numbers (300 & 500) indicate the level of foot support. Indeed, the faster you go when snowboarding, the more pressure you put on the board through your boot: this means that the foot support within the boot must be sufficient to minimise any unwanted foot movements. "
2-zone Fast Lock tightening system
"The Maoke 300 easy-tightening system was inspired by a snowboard instructor's comment: "we need to do away with traditional laces that have to be tied, I waste too much time at the beginning of my lessons tightening my clients' laces". This winter, we have added a rip-tab at the shins to improve this tightening issue. 1. Quick and powerful tightening focused on the instep, to improve foot support. 2. A rip-tab at the shins to eliminate the gap between the tibia and the tongue."
Boot flex/stiffness
This boot was designed with a soft flex. It is comfortable to use, reduces physical fatigue and allows you to fully enjoy your day on the snow. It also offers the advantage of helping beginners adopt a good body position on their board: flexed ankles to prevent straightening the legs. In order to have the reactivity required for snowboarding, you need to keep your knees bent. Starting with a boot that's too stiff will hinder your progress.
Heel support: level 1 liner
"Foot support is essential when snowboarding in order to correctly steer your board. The foot must be well supported in the liner, and the liner well supported in the boot. The level 1 liner uses the following 5 technologies: - liner can be heat moulded at home; - Comfort Heel Pad ankle foam; - 3-point liner fastening; - Hook & Loop Link between the liner and boot; - double Foam: double layer of foam at the tongue on the instep, for support and comfort."
Home heat moulding liner
- Heat up your oven in convection mode to 80 °C - Remove the insoles from the liners and lay the liners on the tray of the oven lined with greaseproof paper - Leave for 15 minutes - Replace the sockliners, put on a pair of ski-snowboard socks, step into the liners and tighten them at your convenience. Then put on the snowboard boots and tighten them - Wait for 15 minutes, without moving, preferably while standing Repeat if necessary.
Comfort Heel Pad ankle foam
"The ankle foam padding fills the space below and behind the ankle to secure the heel in place. The level 1 liner has 10-mm thick single-material ankle foam that is quite soft. The aim is to provide the right heel/foot support for the type of boot. Indeed, the faster you go, the more energy is involved, hence, the more foot support you will need. The Comfort Foam padding fulfils this objective by providing optimum comfort for everyone.
3-point liner fastening
"A 3-point tightening system (instead of 4-point) has 2 big advantages: - support: it blocks the heel very effectively because there is less friction with the laces and a maximum amount of energy is transferred to the 3rd and final tightening point, situated at the ankle, thereby providing optimum support. - warmth: given that there is no 4th tightening point at the instep, the blood flows more easily to the toes. This keeps your toes warm."
Hook & Loop Link between the liner and boot
"We've added a rip-tab between the liner and the boot, at the back. What for? To reduce any movement of the liner inside the boot, so it's easier to steer the board
Sole: grip, foothold, cushioning and thermal insulation
"Our new Ultralight sole is 100% EVA. EVA is a very light material (80% air). This composition is designed to resist abrasion without compromising its cushioning properties. It has natural insulating properties and protects from the cold coming up from the ground. We have added big lugs for excellent grip. They are spaced quite far apart for easy removal of snow."

Conclusion n’achetez surtout pas ce produit.

    Brand's answer :
