Choose the correct cross-country skate ski equipment with advice from INOVIK by Decathlon.

To ensure that the crosscountry skate ski equipment you choose is right for you, we recommend that you consider the following criteria:your physical condition and your level, compatibility of ski/boot binding standards and your body type.

1- DECIDE ON
YOUR LEVEL

Before buying any crosscountry skate ski equipment, it is important to identify your level so you can choose the equipment that is right for you.
Unlike classic crosscountry skiing which you can practise in a relaxed manner, in other words at low intensity, crosscountry skate skiing requires significant exertion.Which is why we, at Inovik, have decided to divide our crosscountry skate ski products into two categories:sport and performance, to help you choose the cross-country skate skis and boots that best suit your level.

II - CHOOSING YOUR CROSS-COUNTRY SKATE SKIS

When choosing your crosscountry skate skis, you need to choose skis that are appropriate to your level:sport or performance. If you already have a pair of crosscountry skate ski boots, you need to check that the binding standards of your skate ski boots and skis are compatible:Prolink, Turnamic or even NNN.Finally, it's essential that you choose the right ski length and camber to suit your body type.

You can narrow down your choice depending on your level: longer skis provide better slide, shorter skis offer improved handling. The easiest and most accurate method is to refer to the size recommendations indicated on each ski model.

III - CHOOSING YOUR CROSSCOUNTRY SKATE ski boots

When choosing your crosscountry skate ski boots, you need to opt for boots that match the intensity of your sporting activity. Then, we recommend you check the compatibility of your ski bindings/boots, in accordance with binding standards. Not all standards are compatible. As such, we made the decision to equip all of our INOVIK skis with Rottefella NNN-standard bindings to maximize compatibility.
