Features of the product

How can I be sure my jacket will give me proper protection in bad weather?
The Firstheat trousers are rigorously developed and assembled to prevent water from entering and to feel the wind less, to help you cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To check that they are waterproof, these trousers were placed in a special shower reproducing the conditions a skier has to cope with. We approved this product's waterproofing by skiing in different conditions for several days.
What's the point of having water-repellent trousers?
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The Firstheat trousers are equipped with water-repellent components that prolong their resistance to bad weather. This high-tech solution will keep you dry for longer on the ski slopes. For it to remain effective, you must repeat this treatment regularly using the products sold in our stores.
"Coated" trousers: what are the advantages of this coating?
The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by an active body to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport.
How do my ski trousers keep me warm?
We use wadding for insulation to help keep you warm. This polyester-based synthetic material traps air, the quantity of which will depend on the size of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, high-tech or siliconised, each with different properties: warmth, lightness, flexibility, etc.
What are "breathable" trousers?
It is a product that lets the water vapour produced by the body during exercise escape, keeping you dry. To measure the breathability of a fabric, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat, called RET, with a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wed'ze uses high-tech materials and solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh) that help prevent condensation inside the garment. RET of the First Heat trousers < 12.
How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?
To keep your legs warm and dry: wear 2 breathable layers, e.g. a ski base layer or a pair of ski tights to retain warmth and ski trousers to protect you from the weather conditions.
How can I prevent snow from getting into my trousers?
Our trousers have elasticated gaiters at the bottom that cover the shoes. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.

Good value for money

Bought this pair of ski trousers for a first time ski trip so didn't know what to expect. I was completely dry the whole time despite falling down many times, and I was sufficiently warm throughout (thanks also to my base layer) so this product is perfect for a first-timer, and I expect for someone who just wants a basic pair of ski trousers that works and doesn't want to pay through their nose.

    Brand's answer :

    Dear Sir,

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with these trousers. They are our first technical price product and as such are not as waterproof as some of our other models. These trousers are meant to be worn in the snow for 2 or 3 hours. However if you had a longer period in bad weather conditions, or if you were sitting down a lot in the snow, they would tend to get wetter faster.

If you would like, you can exchange or return these ski pants and perhaps find another model which offers a higher waterproofing. Should you need any assistance, please feel free to contact our customer loyalty team:

    Have a nice day,

    Good pair of ski trousers

I bought these to use as an insulated waterproof layer on my trip to Tromsø Norway and they did a great job.
