France

 

In France, the high altitude ski resorts boast the best climate in terms of snow cover and sunshine for as long as possible. At the start of spring, most of them welcome skiers and snowboarders looking for fun.

 

Val Thorens

Amateurs and enthusiasts are only too aware, Val Thorens is the place to be once the ski season has ended. With constant snow cover, numerous activities and festivities are put on at the end of the season, with the ambiance being central at Val Thorens as spring time makes an appearance.

Tignes

At an altitude of 2100 metres, a large number of slopes are still accessible until May. In the event that the whole area is not covered with snow, the resort offers direct access to Grande Motte which remains open all year with the snow cover which is present up to an altitude of 3400 metres.

 

Val d’Isère

A ski resort associated with Tignes, Espace Killy, with numerous off-piste itineraries, Val d’Isère offers maximum possibilities for enjoyment on the skis, even in spring. Powdery snow, marked out pistes, resort activities… all you have to do is make a choice.

 

Chamonix

With its numerous freeriding ski spots, Vallée Blanche and Aiguille du midi, Chamonix has no shortage of places where you can have fun skiing during mild spring months. Accessible until mid-May, the resort is a popular destination for that last bit of fun.


In Europe

Other ski resorts in Europe come to life under the spring time sunshine. Switzerland, Italy, Sweden… quirky places await whilst other ski resorts close their doors.

 

Zermatt (Switzerland)

Simply put, the Zermatt ski resort remains open and accessible all year round, offering 100 km of usable slopes! A bonus and not to be sniffed at, with Matterhorn you can say that you have skied on the highest resort in Europe. Not bad, don't you agree?

Passo Tonale (Italy)

With exceptional snow cover, offering a variety of unparalleled slopes, Passo Tonale allows skiers from all over the glove to enjoy themselves up until July. What's so special about it: a glacier which includes both hard and soft gradients, satisfying most people. In total, 50 km of usable slopes await.

 

Hintertux (Austria)

Open all year, the resort of Hintertux offers privileged access to one of the largest ski resorts in Europe. The internationally renown snowpark attracts riders and freeriders looking for something new, all under beautiful springtime sunshine. A series of events and festivals is lined up to liven up the days spent outside.

 

Riksgränsen (Sweden)

An unusual location, the Riksgränsen ski resort reigns supreme in the spring time. Subsequent to a dark period up until February , brightness and snow make a comeback from April for endless days on the slopes, with the unique opportunity to enjoy the ski resort and the large snowpark under the midnight sun. Guaranteed effect!
